• Elephantom.Design presents its " tableware " ceramics in the wabi-sabi spirit •

With its lagoon collection, Elephantom.Design adds a little twist to the Wabi-sabi style. Although wabi-sabi gives a second life to forgotten or discarded objects, handcrafted creations are also fundamental to the wabi-sabi philosophy. Lagoon stoneware tableware is handmade in my pottery workshop. A bit different from the other collections offered on the Elephantom.Design online store, I wanted these aperitif bowls sets colorful and deliberately imperfect. The dishes of the Lagoon collection bring color but also serenity to your sweet home cocoon.

In addition to the collection of appetizer bowls, plates, coffee cups, mugs, tea sets, salad bowls and bowls, a set of ceramic stoneware dishes evoking nature are also available on the ceramics online shop. You will find glazed stoneware pottery fired at high temperatures to make them durable and resistant to daily use, including repeated passages in the dishwasher or in the microwave.

In order to play on the asymmetrical shape of these bowls, I worked with casting molds I created myself in the workshop. Molds conceived in such a way that each stoneware creation that comes out of them is unique. After pouring the clay, the created ceramics are then reworked by hand one by one and their glaze is also applied in such a way that no two pieces will ever have exactly the same color.
