• This set made up of a pencil pot and 2 small pots for staples and paperclips is a unique creation crafted on the potter's wheel •
To create Elephantom.Design's Hurricane collection, the first step is to stain a part of the porcelain. The white and blue porcelains are then thrown together on the potter's wheel. This creative step produces the elegant spiral patterns evoking tropical cyclones. Once the desk organizer / Pencil cup have been thrown, the creative process is not finished. The items are then placed in a humidity chamber in order to let them dry slowly and avoid the appearance of cracks. Before being too dry, the pots are modified to create an attractive shape. Once completely dried, these creations are first put in the oven at 950°C, glazed, to then finish their crafting process with a second and last passage in the kiln at a temperature of 1250°C. This set composed of a pencil pot and two small pots for staples, small post-its or paper clips is entirely hand-made by Aurélie in her workshop of contemporary handcrafted ceramics.
